Step 1: Surface Preparation
The key to a long-lasting decal is a clinical finish. Clean the surface thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol to remove any grease or wax. Before applying, ensure the surface is completely dry and slightly warm to the touch for optimal adhesion.
Step 2: The Dry Hinge Method
Position the decal accurately and secure it with masking tape along one edge to act as a hinge. Peel back the backing paper slowly, then use a squeegee to apply the decal from the centre outward at a 45° angle to effectively push out any trapped air.
Step 3: Removal & Curing
Slowly peel the application tape back on itself at roughly 180°. Check for any edges lifting and press them down firmly. Avoid power-washing or harsh cleaning for at least 48 hours to ensure the adhesive cures completely.
